MGW vs Pro 5.0

Okay so heres my dilema. I was going to get the MGW shifter because it is meant to be the "best shifter in its class" but im not sure if i will like how it looks. (looks kinda plain) The Pro 5.0 from what ive read is also a good shifter and seems to look a bit better. Id just like to hear some feedback and see some pictures especially of the MGW (theres not many of them on google)

Function over form. You going to win or lose a car show based on how your shifter looks?
I've had both, and the MGW is FAR better then the 5.0 mechanically. It isn't nearly as notchy as the 5.0. Reverse is easier to get into as well. I noticed right away how much easier it was to deal with the MGW as opposed to the 5.0.
Also do a search, this has been beat to death but figured Id give input anyway.
But seriously who spends that much time looking at their shifter?

Wouldn't the 5.0 be the best hands down since it has that feature where it does a perfect shift from 2nd to 3rd everytime?
Does the MGW shifter have this?
I would think that would be the showstopper right there. I've never missed a shift to 3rd from 2nd with my 5.0.

The MGW may have a shorter throw/stonger centering springs but does it have a guaranteed 2nd to 3rd shift everytime like the 5.0 does?
Can anyone else here confirm what I am speaking about with the 5.0? 2nd-3rd upshift mechanism? Unless I've been told wrong for years. lol
Just with that alone I'll take the roughness of the 5.0 over the MGW knowing I wont miss any shifts.

there is no upshift mechanism. its just a short shifter with good return springs and precise throws that allow the shift to be almost spot on every time but it is possible to miss a shift. the mgw is def smoother than the pro 5.0 but they are both good.... i just ordered an mgw to swap out my b&m if that says anything

I couldn't resist, lol So all and all, what you're saying is what the 5.0 has to make it spot on the MGW has and even more?

I've had both - the MGW had much shorter throws than the B&M at the expense of being a little harder to get into each gear. It was precise, but very tight. The first time I drove the MGW, I felt like putting it in 1st gear was just like putting the B&M in 3rd...the front to back throws weren't really different, but side to side is about half of the B&M. When they say short shifter, they mean it.
And
at the 2-3 upshift mechanism on the Pro 5.0.

its not really something the shifters have or dont have they are both very well engineered it really comes down to what you like. the pro 5.0 tends to be a little notchy but shifts are precise and positive. the mgw in my experience is a little stiffer, and smoother but I feel more confident when shifting with it and it lets you know when your in gear lol
