Default Why is there so much dead space in my Tick MC?

I have a tick mc, monster stage 2, and gm slave. I installed them all at the same time. There is about an inch to and inch and a half of dead space in my clutch pedal. Its really soft then you feel the firmness of the pedal. Ive bleed it many many times. Its really bad when its cold after driving it for a little bit the pedal usually firms up but will get soft occasionally. All the components have about 10k miles on them. Installed them last spring.

Where is the clutch pedal compared to the brake pedal? Mine is about the same height and. Feels old all the way down.

its roughly the same maybe a half inch lower. The car shifts and drives fine, its more of an annoyance to me. I love the set up just wish i could get rid of the empty travel

mine has said "freeplay" as well...im not sure if its an adjustment issue
or what...i also have no driveability issues...just kind of annoying having
about 3/4 of an inch of freeplay in the pedal before it actually disengages
the clutch.

If you shimmed it properly, you can adjust it to bring it all the way up with no worries of damage. You did bleed it well, right?

Im guessing you all have NOT removed the clutch pedal spring yet?

Try that, and you shouldnt have any excess pedal.

ahhh yea that spring. The directions for the master specifically say to remove it and NOT reinstall it.

A lot of times you can bleed and pump that "dead space" out of the pedal by just pumping that dead space when you bleed it.

I also have about an inch of dead space. Just replaced everything about 500 miles ago. But instead of my pedal being lower than my brake pedal it's an inch or more higher?????

Sidebar, but what's the purpose of removing the return spring with the Tick?

Ive bled it many times in effort to get rid of this. Monster clutches do not require shimming. I will try making it level with my brake pedal tomorrow.

When you try to bleed this out, do you do a full pedal pump or just the dead space?

Just the dead space. It "should" get less and less each time, continue to only pump the remaining dead space from the pedal until none remains.
