I'm in the process of rebuilding mine right now, a few gears, sliders and other misc. parts later and I'm looking at $1,700 in parts alone

I was shocked when I started pricing the parts out - crazy prices for rebuilding a t56. I blew my 2 and 3 synchros and bent my shift fork (at minimum). I was looking at least 2K so I found a used t56 with 26k miles and I will see how long it lasts. Hopefully it lasts a couple summers to give me some time to rebuild the one I am removing so I can spread that cost out over the long run....when this one dies then I will toss in the built transmission.

I think most shops charge 500-1000 pending on what the tranny needs. Thats just the trans not the clutch or anything.

My trans is being rebuilt right now. I am looking at ~$1200 for a rebuild.
