im an A4 guy, and know nothing about 6-speeds. i was just told by this kid that he had his trans rebuilt, and he has a 6-speed. he was telin me that he had vette billet servos put in and a some other ****. i thought a4's were the only ones with servos and stuff, but i know nothing about 6-speeds. could someone fill me on here. does this sound right?

last time i checked manuals didn't have servos either and i am a tech. maybe he meant synchros?

 

maybe he has his head up his ***??

 

hmmm...could be. he was talkin kinda fast. what are some questions i could approach him with to see if hes bullshitting?

 

see what kind of blockers, synchros and shift fork he put in.

 

Ask him what weight of checkballs he put into it. Then say, "You lying SOB! Standards don't have checkballs!"

 

Maybe he put a fargo pipe on his car too????
