Getting rid of the tri-flange?
So I picked up a CTSV T56 today, special ordered with the tri-flange setup. I would like to insall this tranny in my 1991 Silverado which doesn't have the tri flange setup. What is the best way to go about changing it/adapting it?
How it looks..
How I want it to be...
Any help is appreciated.

Whether someone knows where to purchase an adapter maybe even?

Driveshaftshop.com can make you a driveshaft that will work with the flange so that you don't have to convert the trans to a slip yoke. They do away with the U-Joint and slip yoke and use a CV that bolts up to the flange with an adapter. The CV allows the driveshaft to move in and out with rear axle travel. It will use a U-joint to connect to rear end.

Make sure the yoke fits properly against the output shaft seal. I know a guy who burned up a perfectly good 5th ten Camaro unit trying to do the same thing as you are. He put a yoke on there that didn't fit the seal properly and it leaked all the oil out and burned it up.

Wow thanks for the warning, I would be beside myself if that happened. Alberta driveline is working with my so I'm trusting the "professionals" know what they're doing.
