Default New ls7 clutch doesn't feel right need some info

I put a brand new ls7 clutch with a new flywheel pilot bearing and throw out bearing and slave and pressure plate.... My question is when I'm power shifting it won't go in to third gear what can this be I was thinking Synchro's but not sure could it be the person that installed it didn't install it right? Or could it be that is just need's to brake in I put 300miles already should I wait a little longer to drive it hard not sure help would be great

clutch is notorious for blocking you out of shifts when installed in an f body , its much heavier than stock and the f body hydraulics struggle to keep up at high rpm's , I bet it shifts just fine if you short shift it at 5000 right ?

I was having this exact same problem with my LS7 clutch. I even have the MGW shifter. I bought a Tick Master cylinder in hopes it will relieve my issue. Let me tell you that it shifts amazing now. Went to the track recently and didn't miss a shift once.

Ya its hit and miss either the hydraulics need to be upgraded because they cant release the clutch or its the clutch itself. These clutches were never made for an fbody, they were made for a much lighter corvette with a much better shifting trans. Their PP by design isnt that great and will cause those issues. Its why lots of us on here never recommend an ls7 clutch

Common issue. The F-body hydraulics are only barely adequate for the stock clutch, and even that is debatable. I would expect a tick master to solve the problem

I just put one in my 99.It was very stiff shifting when I first got in it.I've now got a 1000 miles on it and it has got better.i put a new factory master cylinder in it.i should have spent a extra 100 and put a tick in it.i was thinking about trying to return it and get one.lol

Sounds like a stock hydraulics issue to me...make sure you clutch fully disengages.

Dont mean to hijack but a tick master should fix this? ? Im having similar issues with ls7 clutch stk hydraulics with drill mod and about 100 miles on clutch. Its hard to put into gear even at idle and you can forget about reverse

Yes, a tick master is very likely to fix this
