Need help locating clutch fork for 97 Camaro
Hey guys, I got a buddy who broke his clutch fork on his car and he's dead in the water short of me tig welding this thing back together.
All searches lead to back order and out of stock, anyone got any leads?
Here is his info on the car and part #'s, thank you.
Well, in a difficult situation...
Seems the clutch fork has been manufacturers discontinued, none with GM, none in after market that I or the dealer can find...engine is in pieces on the floor at shop dead in the water without this part.
The clutch fork is for a 1997 Camaro Z-28 LT1 Motor T56 Borg Warner 6 speed trannie.
The Borg Warner (but I believe was actually made by Tremec) part number for the clutch fork is:
13-86-096-907-B
I think the Tremec part number is 1386-596-004
Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated

a google search shows this

in one pic there "looks" to be a stress crack....but would think that could be welded
these forks are a rare find

I'm in the same boat. Just broke my fork with 235k miles on it. When I realized it was just the fork I was like thank god. Now, well, what the hell am I gonna do? Have it welded? :/

I have two of them....One with a slight grind mark where it popped off the holder, and the flywheel rubbed it, and one brand new in the package. I will go outside tomorrow and locate them. Once I have them in my hand, I will report back.
