Default Resurfacing Flywheel,Plz Come In =)

I know this Subject has been beated to the Ground forever, but i did a Search on it and can't find no good Information on it... My question is im about to stick my Trans Back in my car, The Flywheel i have on my stock Clutch has about 12k miles on it and doesn't chatter at all. Could i be ok running the Spec 3 or Spec 3I On a cleaned up/Resurfaced Stock flywheel ? Any Opinions would be greatly Aperciated Also im Currently running in the 350rwhp range and i plan on Upgrading the Slave Clylinder/Master cylinder and do the Drill mod. I plan on this Beening a 30%Track car 70% street . Is there anything else anybody could think of that im Missing here, Maybe a adj master ? I get the Drift of what all im upgrading, but i would like to hear someone who has "been there done that" Answer

Thank you Steve-0

If you take more than .020 off the stock flywheel, it will warp really easy (straight from SPEC). So you're better off just getting a new one.

A Stock one or Billet Steel ? Those Billet steel ones aren't cheap

From what you said in the post, I'm guessing you have a stock flywheel, so that's what I'm refering to.

I had 11k on my stock flywheel. Reused it and did NOT resurface it, although I asked my friend to do it.

No issues at all. I haven't gone WOT yet, still breaking it in....

The GM manual says no more than .015 off the stock flywheel. If you need to take more than that, get a new one. It's steel, forged, not dipped, so it's pretty stout. But, removing more material weakens the outer surface, allowing the flywheel to warp during heat cycles. I too, am replacing the clutch/slave cylinder.
