TR6060 front cover switch to magnum front plate with oil pump?
Hey guys, been searching like crazy (probably not hard enough as I’m sure someone will point out) but...
I have a TR6060 with the pump that is integrated into the front cover/bell housing. I’d like to swap over to the magnum front plate so I can use an SFI bell housing. I know Bowler racing sells an entire kit that includes a machined front plate so you can use a TR6060 pump, but I don’t need the whole kit at $900. I only need the front plate. However, it appears that all of the Magnum front plates are not yet fully machined to the pump. It only looks like two holes need to happen.
1. Are people just modding their own magnum front plates and swapping over the pump?
2. Is there a front plate only for sale (not an entire kit) that I’m just not finding?
You can see the very minor differences between the two front plates here. I’m assuming the open hole is for the oil pickup tube, but what is the torx bolt for? I could of course figure all this out if I had access to a TR6060 service manual, but I can only find T56 service manuals which obviously don’t have the pump.
thanks guys

So this is a pic of the front plate modded from bowler racing. The ONLY difference (at least that I can see) is the two parts I circled in yellow.
pic 1 bowler modified front plate
pic 2 normal magnum front plate
pic 3 TR6060 bell/front plate

I would like more detail of what the internal pump actually does, and where it pumps the oil.
Ideally you'd want an internal rail squirting oil between the gears at the front. Not sure this type actually does that ?

you can see on the magnum front cover that it’s there... the line just exits the side of the front cover instead of the integrated bell housing. Same thing though. It’s just capped off on the magnum.
