Well, you shouldn't get the short stick, just cut the off the extra threading and it will become just as short as the short sticks you can get.

Loctite...just use the blue stuff, not the red. If you don't ever want to be able to take it off, use the red loctite. I, however, would not recommend this.

Keep an alan wrench handy if you don't loctite it right away.

I just keep an allen wrench in my console. It needs tightening every few weeks or so. It takes 15 seconds at a stoplight.

As said above, Blue Loctite will stop the bolts from coming loose, but you can still remove bolts if needed.

so is your console apart so you can tighten them? Seems like alot of trouble just to tighten something when you could spend a few dollars to fix it and not have to mess with it anymore.

Just use the blue loctite, that will be the end of your bolts coming loose. I would never use the red stuff unless you want them in there permently, or use a torch to heat them up to remove them. If you want an LSS, then I would just get an LSS. Cutting your stock stick is not the same thing regardless of what people might think. If all your looking for is a shorter stick then that's cool. But if you want a shorter stick with a nice angled feel to it, the LSS is a nice piece, or one similar like maybe the $20 UMI one, haven't tried that one though...

Nope. I unscrew the **** and take off the boot. Screws are right there. Tighten them and put it back together.

We use white teflon tape, seems to work the best with out making them hard to remove in the future. Try that out. Hope that helps!

I used red loctite!!! that baby better never come loose again... I can get at my screws without taking the **** off... I actually tightened it a few times while driving... you just pinch the bottom of the boot and be gentle...

i just bought new lock washers. The ones that came with the PRO-5.0 were not that strong. They got stretched out really easy. Never had to mess with it but once since then. Been a while, too.
