Default Odd problem with McLeod MC, Inside Please.....

Ok, I've had this McLeod MC for almost a year now (bought it new) and it's never been right since I installed it, the problem is, when it's cold outside (40-55*), the clutch pedal is spongy, but as the car warms up and I drive it more, the pedal becomes more solid, then it's as solid as a rock, like it should feel, what's up with this? Of course, I don't have a problem in the summer time, but it's always bothered me. I talked to McLeod and they didn't know what to do about it, does anyone else have a problem similar to this?

Thanks

I think your problem is that the McLeod MC is a POS. Mine is anyways and I have a similar problem.

yea I know it is, but I was hoping that there was someway to fix it. It's weird, as the MC itself get hotter from the engine heat, the pedal gets solid, at least I'm not the only one with this problem, anyone else?

I had to rebuild mine with the kit from McLeod ( $25? ) and since then it's been fantastic, 2 years later. FWIW.

Send it back and have them rebuild it for you. Mine was bad out of the box and I just returned it and got a factory GM and never looked back. Those things suck.

Only mine is always soft as hell, not only when it is cold.

I would throw the POS McLeod MC away and either make my stock master adjustable, or use the RAM adjustable.

Some people have had luck with the McLeod, but I for one, have not. Been through two and have had the same problem, even after replacing the entire hydraulic system

yea we'll I did my whole hydraulics when I did my clutch, my buddy has a McLeod MC in his Z with a RAM clutch and he said he has no problems at all with his. I wonder if I can still run a stock MC with the McLeod clutch/PP?

I havent had any problems at all with mine. It's been in for about 18 mos. I havent had any problems with my McLeod rev-lok II sintered iron disc clutch either. Hard miles too! It lives at the track.
