Richmond 6 + LS1?
I have a richmond 6 speed in my 3rd gen F-body. I run 3.89 gears and it acts like it has 4.88's 1st- 4th and 5th still pulls, I had to use 5th at the track when I ran out of gear using NOS. I also had to send it back to richmond 3 times with problems, they fixed it for free but that was a lot of wrenching to in and out that tranny. My car in the sig has the T56. At 1,200 miles I had to have it apart to replace the stock slider key's with a set of billet slider keys, I also changed the shift fork and some other little things. I like the T56 better because it's not a top loader tranny and shifts nicer and you can shift it faster. The richmond has the old style bars on the outside of the tranny like the old munci's and borg warnner tranny's and takes a little more to shift and in my opion the richmond is the weaker of the 2.

My bad, the T56 is the top loader , the richmond is not a top loader. The richmond has bars like a old munci. The richmond is the weaker tranny of the 2. I have both tranny's, just typing quicker than I'm thinking
