Default Flywheel Resurface or not?

I have a 2000 Z28. I recently purchased a spec stage 3 clutch, my car is fairly stock with bolton. Id say maybe 350 flywheel hp. Should I purchase a new slave and master, also will the stock flywheel work fine as long as I get it resurfaced? car has 23,000 miles on it may see the track once every 2-3 months if that.
any info would help!!!

Your might have to get your flywheel and PP rebalanced if you get it resurfaced. Some people have gotten lucky and just stuck the set up together with no balanceing and had no problem, some others have slapped it together and have had bad vibrations with there set up and had to take everything apart again, send out the flywheel and PP to get rebalanced ,then put it all back together again. I just took a whizzz wheel to resurface mine because it only had 1,200 miles on it and wasn't too bad, then slapped it together and everything was fine. But I was one of the few lucky ones.

You might want to price out what the 02 slave and master cost and compare it to the mcloyd slave and master. They are a bitch to bleed, have someone who knows what there doing bleed it out or your gonna drive yourself nuts trying to do it. You need 2 people to do it

From what I've gathered, the stock flywheel can only be turned .020 to .030. That isn't much, and more than likely you'll need to take off more than that. I would would recommend replacing the flywheel.

I wouldn't bother replacing the master, just the slave; the master was the same, it was only the slave that got upgraded.

With only 23K on the car I would think the flywheel would be fine. If you get it resurfaced make sure they tell you how much the took off and install a flywheel shim to make uo the difference.

I took a chance by accident.

My mechanic didn't resurface my flywheel, even though I asked him to. He said it looked fine ( ).

So far though, lots of abuse and my Spec 3 is holding up.

I only had 18k on my car when I replaced the clutch and flywheel. My clutch was toast and the flywheel was a mess. I don't take chances. If your flywheel looked anything like this, then you should have chucked it...

Supposedly, my stocker had no burns or divots. It only had 11,000 miles on it with 8 track passes.
