Clutch pedal sticks to floor?
My clutch pedal sticks to the floor only after I accelerate hard through the gears. When ever I drive it normal I have no problems what so ever.
My mods are SLP headers,2002 Zo6 clutch,2001 slave,4.10 gears.My car is a 99 Formula.
The 2001 slave has been in for less than a year. The braided stainless steel line going from the master to the slave is a least an inch from the headers.Any help would be great.
thanks steve

Do you still have the stock LS1 clutch master cylinder in the car? That is where I would look. Is there a difference between the '01 slave and the '02 slave, especially considering that the 2 clutches are different? That could be another possibility if you have an 02 Z06 clutch and an 01 slave.

Re: Clutch pedal sticks to floor?
The pedal in my 99SS does the same thing. I bled the clutch, hoping it was just the fluid (had never been changed and was BLACK). The fluid change seems to have helped a bit, but it still exhibits this behavior. The only thing else that it seems it could be is the master and/or slave. I still have the original hydraulics.

Re: Clutch pedal sticks to floor?
I had this happen to me coming home from work late one night. It was too dark to see anything, so I really babied it. The whole way home my mind was racing, getting worried, etc.
Turns out my floormat was catching the clutch pedal...
Hope you find the solution -

No, the 01 and 02 slaves are the same. The 02 ZO6 just has a stiffer diaphragm in the pressure plate. I would just try bleeding the hydros. My car acts up when the fluid starts getting old...6 mo. or so and I have a new slave. Use good quality DOT 3 fluid. If that doesnt work, i'd try a new master cylinder. If you have a GM clutch, you dont have to have an adjustable master, but it would be nice.
