Brass Pilot Bushing
Allright, so the Tranny Guy Fixed my Tranny. But before I put it in, he said that I should think about getting a Brass Pilot Bushing. I purchased the Spec Stage 3 Clutch, does it come with a Brass Pilot Bushing?? Where can I find one??

Any local parts store will have a brass pilot bushing. A roller is not necessarily better. If a roller is installed improperly, it will make lunch out of an input shaft when it lets go. The brass bushing is the timeless standard and it doesn't shoot out bearing fragments if, however unlikely, it fails.

However, bearings can fail , brass bushings most likely will not.
I vote for the brass bushing.

The relative wear to the bearing is nil compared to a bushing. Do what you like, put that 1940 style composite brass / low speed part in YOUR LS1 . I would choose the bearing, as original.

I would agree that the brass bushing would be less prone to coming apart/deflecting. But if your input shaft is deflecting that much you've got bigger problems
I just replaced a pilot bearing with over 95K miles on it. It looked just like the new one from the dealership.
