Pro 5.0 shifter guys in here.
Hey guys installed my 5.0 shifter and drove it. Under 2k rpm in 3rd or 4th there's a loud vibration sound coming from the shifter. Also it's always popping out of 3rd and 4th. It never did that before with the stock shifter. Any ideas???
thanks

Did you set the stops?
Mine was popping out of 1'st because of the stops, I over set them.
I can hear a noise from the shifter when I lean against it in gear, just transmission noise through the shifter. Mines not to loud, in fact I can't hear it if I let go or loosen my grip on the shifter.

MAke sure u set the stops and tighten them. When I installed mine I used rubberized gaskets to mate it to the tranny. It obsorbs alot of the vibration. Also so a search for the 'rob mod' All you do is put a piece or rubber between the shifter handle and where it mounts. It'll quiet it down a ton.

i dont hear **** through mine.
I have a Gmmg with headers though which might help just a tad
Seriously though.. I dont hear squat. I DO get vibration if I lean on the shifter when in gear driving.. kinda annoying but whatever.. if thats the worst I got.. I can DEAL with THAT!

the factory shifter is a giant noise/vibration absorber hence the spoon in oatmeal feeling while shifting
the pro5.0 is a lot more solid and since you had to cut away at some of the dust covers more transmission noise is heard.
and yes check the stop bolts... with the car off set them against it while in gear then back them out one full turn. and viola!
after a while you dont even hear the noise anymore.....

K I trimmed the boot and also adjusted the stop bolts. I finally broke in my springs so i opened it up on a hard run. The shifter was vibrating and rattling loud as heel once I past like 4k. WTF???? I'm talking loud but only at high rpms. Anyone have this problem or ideas??

Under heavy load, the shifter handle is moving against the stop bolt. Keep making very small adjustments to the stop bolts. Mine are adjusted so that I only get noise out of it when I lean on the shifter.
