Default 900 hp clutch? who makes one?

I need a clutch that can hold up to 900 hp on a twin turbo LS6. This will be used in an offroad application. Does anyone have experience with a 6-speed?

I'm sure there are clutches out there that will be able to surive that type of power, but what type of 6 speed trans are you using with it? I sure hope its not a stock one.

Try asking the same Q in the Manual Trans area. Might get even more responses.

I'm an A4 guy, so I can't help ya on that. smokinHawk has a stout set-up. Might be taking his word honestly on that one.

No current hydraulic clutch setup will live long under that power. You should plan to buy clutches and T56s by the dozen.

I am not sure how much torque you are making, but spec makes a Stage 5 rated up to 1200 ft lbs. They have a Stage 3+ rated up to 850 ft lbs.

RAM makes some high power clutches, but I couldn't find any power ratings on them.

Good luck.

??? Over in the manual trans forum they talk of as being built by the great hand of God himself. It's the current baby of the hi-po clutch world.

Textralia is rated at 700ftpounds I believe. At that power and under it is God. Its grabs an wont let go. 900 is above and beyond most street cars. If your making a new product your going to target one audience at first to be successful. Maybe they'll come out with a higher end line, but right now they have pro'lly the best clutch in that range for the money. It comes complete as a kit and includes everything except the labor.

Sorry about the misunderstanding, I thought you meant rated as in peoples' opinions of it, and not the actual TQ rating. Anyways, I thought that several people were pushing 1000 HP (don't know the TQ) and it was still holding up.

I only know of one guy that is making 1000 rwhp (actually ~980) with a Textralia and his completely slipped with the first shot of N20.

Like I said earlier, only the twin disk Mcleod and the Tiltan will hold this kind of power for any period of time. Expect to pay some $ for each, a lot of $ for the Tiltan!
