Default Can the factory clutch Hold this power ?? >>>

Hi all ,

I think some of you know what my car has , but some else don't ......

So my car has

Large Heads , 226 Cam , LS6 intake , Full Intake and Exhaust System , 3.73-for street- , Pullys and so on ...... the problem that I don't know how much RWHP my car has , but from USA guys numbers ..... I can assume that it will be more than 400 rwhp , I hope .....

So , can the factory clutch hold all of this power ?? I am shifting between 6500 - 6600 rpm ...

what you think guys ??

Thanks in advance

Abdulla, I am sorry to hear about the clutch bro. I know EXACTLY how it feels. My star clutch blew up on the second pass I ever made with it, and then Star told me to go f-ck myself. I'd contact Julio and see if he's willing to do anything for you.

As for the stock clutch, I wouldn't expect it to hold for very long. If you must run one, make sure it's the 02 Z06 clutch, which some people are having good luck with running 400+rwhp applications.

Good luck man,

Josh

Thank you very much guys

Let me to say that I don't want this clutch for launchs ..... I want it for roll races , I mean for street races not for drag ......

So can this clutch hold to 6500 rpm ??

Thanks you again guys

Oh man, that is some hard luck Abdulla!
I think the stock clutch will have a hard time with that much power----even from a roll. Might be OK for now until you can get a better one. Might try the RAM!!!

Abdulla,
I don't think that clutch will hold for sh*t! I had only bolt ons with 4.10s and it was slipping like crazy! specially when I shift to 3rd
I dono what to tell you, but from the way you drive(you know what I am talking about) I guess you can use the factory one with no problems
good luck man

Abdulla, I would see if Cartek would send you another clutch if at all possible. That should not have happened.

I still would look into getting a RAM clutch before putting in another stock clutch.

Good luck!

Abdulla,
I would go with the RAM 402/6130 setup if you do need to replace your old one. The price is right, about the same as a stock and it holds my 6600rpm dumps without blinking. Joe K has also attested to the longevity of this setup. I also went through a Cartek in about 4 months, but it was my fault that it failed. I had adjusted the master too high to try and get it to disengage fully after launch. What I should have done was the drillout mod.
