Liberty Pro shifted guys come in
i have a fairly notchy t56 but nothing is wrong with it. all that would need changed is the steel shift fork (out of my 00)
how much would it cost to have them make 1-4 proshifted? this includes them tearing down and rebuilding the tranny. do you still have problems with it slipping out of 3rd gear?
thank you
mike

I took mine in to be proshifted and ended up haveing it faceplated. I think it was farlly cheap around $500-600 for the proshifteing, but it cost me about $1100 to have it faceplated. But I had to have alot of parts replaced because they couldnt use them. Call and talk to Paul (i think or phil) Thats who I delt with. The face plateing from my understanding is better for the street thats why I had that done. I think I was one of the first ones to have it done except for dodge boys with there vipers. I have beat on it a little but my clutch started to give out and then the weather went bad so I havent had any times with it yet. I do know its really notchy on the street but when I get on it and powershift it I have never felt a trany shift so smooth. if you have any ?'s u can PM me or ask here.

I agree. I had my proshifted and did all of the labor myself. I am now changing it to face plating which is much better and lasts longer than proshifting. Labor is $350.00 flat plus the cost on parts. I have a great deal with Liberty so I get the parts at a great discount. The steel fork is $40.00 as well. I would also recommend mikronite finishing for the gears. Give me a call if you have any questions.
Thanks,
Joe

i contacted a guy named Rodney off this board that builds some pimp t56s and he quoted me about $2400 for a proshifted, micropolished t56 with a CobraR outputshaft and all the rest of the bad *** stuff, should be done pretty soon.

Joe,
I just had a local guy refresh mine(new input shaft, steel 3/4, billet keys, C/F rings, etc). I ordered all my parts from D&D. How much to have it proshifted/faceplated?

From what I seen at liberty its sorta of like proshifted only different. lol sorry. Proshifted uses the gears and removes some of them to alow a bigger hole for the next gear to slide into. face plateing uses a flat plate and has notches cut out of it and another plate slides into those notches, got it? (not sure if I do) they are also back cut to help keep the plates from poping out of gear.
I am sure someone else can explane it better than me.
