Default LS7 clutch install in a C5 PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!

I have the old LS1 clutch out and the new LS2 flywheel bolted to the crank. Problem is when attempting to get the new pressure plate and disk in through the bottom of the bellhousing, it's not clearing! Do I have to remove the bellhousing or is there a special way to get it in from the bottom? I hope I don't have to remove the bellhousing, it doesn't look easy to get those bolts out.

Anyone installed an LS7 clutch in a C5 please help!

Thanks,

Doug D

Thanks, I've done it in several F-bodies, but the bellhousing bolts on the Vette are harder to get too.

I've heard the intake has to come off in order to get the top bolts out.

I did not have to remove my intake to get all the bell housing bolts out on my C5 when I did a clutch install.

Here is the deal. All you need to remove the four lower bellhousing bolts and slightly pry the bellhousing out about 1/4 inch. Then the clutch will slide right in.
