I pulled the line out of the side of the trans and had someone slowly push on the pedal as I held the check valve open in the end of the line with a scribe.

can't you just gravity bleed like you normally would? Stock parts or not that valve on the slave is still there.

I was just wondering, I did not see a bleeder screw, and do not want to seperate the engine and trans.

The bleeder is right above the quick connect going into the tranny.

so how exactly do you bleed the system i just changed the slave cylinder and i know where the bleeder is but do you have to seperate the trans and the bell housing or is there something that i am missing. I am about to finish with ever thing and i was just wondering before i finish bolting the trans and the housing back together.

do you see where the cutout on the bell housing is where the bleeder valve is? Put a socket or something on the valve through the hole.

Like exodus said, throw a socket (10mm I think) on the bleeder through the hole in the trans. Have an assistant push the clutch peddle in and hold it. Open the bleeder. Close the bleeder. Have assistant release the peddle. Repeat until you start to get a firm peddle.

so you don't have to connect a hose to the end of it, that is what was confussing me. i did not know how to connect the hose and use a socket

the hose on the end of it is so the fluid dosent sit in the bell housing.

but if you put a socket on it i dont see how a hose could go on it as well.

more info on how you all do it that way?

if you want to connect a hose to it, you might be able to weasle a small crows foot in there and do it.

There is also a hole at the bottome of the tranny to bellhousing that will let the fluid drain out, The bolt size for the bleeder is 7/16ths if I remember right. Gravity bleeding is easy. Just get the car up on jack stands, pump the clutch several times and hold it down. Then have a friend turn the valve open and you will hear a pssshhhh and some fluid may even squirt out. once the whoosh is gone have the friend close the vavle then release your foot off the clutch. Do this a couple times add more hydraulic fluid to resevoir and repeat until you think you are good.
