Smile SPEC 5 out/new clutch in

So far this new clutch is awesome. SPEC's new dual disk setup.Peddle pressure is less than stock and engagement is excellent with no chatter. If it holds the 1000+rwhp we put to it we will definitely be very happy

BTW-don't bother SPEC yet since it isn't released to the public till testing is done

Some pics

You should see how many clutches I've destroyed So far I've blown up or permenently dissabled every clutch out there. SPEC's are the only one's that have taken the abuse I give them On my personal car we expect a clutch to last a max of 4k miles due to my hard driving at the track. This car that is ussing this clutch has a history of destroying clutches too.

I'm thinking that this clutch would be better with full faced material instead of pucks, but we'll see. It drives better than a Mcleod dual disk setup though.

I do know they have a ton of options for it for the power level you need.

01 Z28 with a 408ci T88 Turbo Combo.Last time on the dyno it made 820hp/790tq at 14lbs but was running out of fuel pump. That dyno was on the Stage 5 clutch which held just fine. With the second bumper hanging pump we plan on trying 20lbs of boost and push past 1000hp which shouldn't be hard.
The new clutch is in the car already.Feel is like a stock clutch but lighter peddle. This one will be pulled and we will have the clamping pressure raised for more holding power. Takes me about 2.5 hours to do a clutch swap on this car.

What is ths wear on one of these clutches. For a person who actually DRIVES their car? Driven like it should be on the street and taken to the track on the weekends?

That is one beefy looking clutch. Probably a stupid question, but what is the engagement like on it? I'm assuming an on/off thing.
