Default What clutch fluid do YOU use?

I am about to reinstall the tranny and the new Textralia clutch in the next week or so. I was planning on going with conventional DOT4 fluid to help combat the heating up of the fluid, being that it boils at a higer temp vs DOT3.

I spoke with Joe@T56Rebuilds about this and he said that DOT3 offers better lubricity than the DOT4.

So heres the deal, who has succesfully used something besides the normal DOT3 fluid with better/worse results than the standard fill?

I know that synthetic is not recommended at all in our hydraulics. So I am not even considering that as an option.

Thanks guys.

I run what Cartek uses in their pre-filled, modded master setup, Neo 610. Any of the good hi temp fluids would be fine (GS610, Motul 600, Castrol SRF, etc.) but mucho $$!

I go with OEM GM brake fluid. I tried super blue racing brake fluid and believe it or not it did not work as well as OEM. I was thinking along the same lines as you. How will it hold up to heat? Well sometimes numbers can't tell you everything. The OEM fluid holds up well and gives me good engagement.

On this board. I know how myths get started, but unless someone could confirm that synthetics can be used in the hydraulics without any adverse effects, I will stick with the conventional to be safe.

Where are the fluids like Motul, GS610, etc found? I don't remember seeing them at my local Auto Zone.

I was really wanting to try the higher DOT 4. Anymore input on that, or any of this for that matter? Thanks fellas.
