Default Clutch sticks to the floor once hot

alright ive been having this problem for sometime but my SS sits in the garage at home and im at college so i havnt been too concerned.

The problem is that when i ever i get on the car then do a "race" shift or basically just the shift you do when your racing to the next gear the clutch sticks to the floor after it engages, doesn't slip and will let you run the next gear up to redline just like normal. I then haft to put my toes under it to pull it back up, I coast in nuetral for about 10 seconds b/c it won't disengage to go in any gear. Then after it cools it works fine agian....The clutch has NEVER slipped btw. Just sticks.

The clutch is stock and has 30k miles on it. The pedal feel has always been soft, im guessing it's hydrolics? slave cylinder?

The drill mod is done to the line that goes to the master cylinder , pull the roll pin out of the master after you remove the master , then take the line that went to it and take an 1/8 inch drill and slowly go in and out with it , do not go deeper than one inch . Then thoroly clean out the line by pushing down the opposite end and spraying some cleaner through it , then repeat this process with blowing air through it . Then you should be good , but make sure you check it and possibly repeat the process to make sure you get all debree out of the line after .

im having this same problem, could it possibly be that the fluid is getting to hot in the hydraulic line that runs near the headers?

also i never had any problems last year with this and since then ive done the drill mod, my car is a 2001 so it has the newer hydraulics, is it possible that i messed up the slave cylinder when i used the mity vac to bleed the system?

I'm running in to the same issues (but it isn't sticking, just engaging differently when it is hot). It only happens after WOT runs, so I'm guessing it is heat related. I'll be replacing my clutch fluid with some higher temp stuff to see if that helps, along with insulating the line a little better.

This is a common problem, one that I had the other night on my 02 WS6. One of the locals showed me a spring found inside the car where the pedal is connecting near the floorboard. This guy had replaced clutches and super bled his system, but swears that nothing fixed the problem until he removed this simple spring. I'll be removing mine this weekend and if it doesn't work I can always just snap it back into place.

I don't think the problem is as big as you'd think...we are by far the minority of the people that own these cars. I'm sure most owners don't even know where to put engine oil in

because it only happens at WOT during high RPM shifts...

btw, mine does that if i let it sit for awhile... i bleed the clutch and it goes away completely.. as long as i keep driving it, it doesnt come back.

my guess is the McCord master cyl i have leaks a little air into it if it doesnt move... or something.

It's not a defect though...They designed the hydraulic system like that to prevent people from beating on the trans constantly. It just gets worse over time. That restrictor in the line that needs to be drilled restricts the flow and helps slow down the shifts.

I drove my friends 02 WS6 for the first time, at the track no less, 2 weeks ago, just to see if I could get a better time than him.
his car does the the exact same thing and it kinda scared me since I thought I might have fucked up the car.
Oh, and I did get a better time than him as well. He has owned the car for 6 months now and I had no seat time at all.
My first pass matched his best ET, but I was down 2mph, 13.5 @ 106, and I hit the rev limiter at the top of 3rd since I was sooo close to the end and thought I would make it.
Next 3 passes were 13.2@108, 13.2@108 and 13.18@109.

I have this same problem, and I've got an 02' slave, drill mod and heat reflectant shielding over the master-slave line.
