What Clutch is Everyone Using?
#305
Am I the only one in the US that used the Mcleod Rev-Lok II Sintered Iron Disc Clutch? Before my car was totaled it had HUNDREDS of 5k plus launches on ET streets and ET Drags and it NEVER slipped!!! I also drove it on the street for several years and it was street friendly!!! No one else has used this clutch? They had some problems originally, but the revised one came out around three years ago and it was awesome. When I bought it it was around $450.00 Last I heard it was much more expensive. This clutch was abused and NEVER missed a beat!!!If I get another M6 there is no doubt in my mind I would buy it again!! My .02

My first St3 Spec had to be replaced due to severe vibration. The 2nd one was ok, but they put a sour taste in my mouth. Acted like I installed it improperly yadayada. Then admitted their balance equipment was out of cal or something like that. I also got tired of the engagement roughness as a daily driver. They probably serve quite well in racing applications, but don't seem to hold up very long in a driver.

LS7 Clutch
Just replaced stock LS1 clutch with LS2/LS7 combo. High holding torque, stock pedal feel, and all with the comfort that it is a stock GM product. No slip at all. I would highly recommend this clutch. Go to Scoggin Dickey (sdparts.com) for the $399 clutch/flywheel package.

Ok have my twin tex but only at about 420engine hp still twin turbo kit is not installed was hoping to do it in spring on a built 408.
I am shooting for 850rwhp on turbos and possibly 1000rwhp on small shots of spray.
This would be occasional max power as most of the time think would be running 700rwhp in daily use. Car is not a track car only a street car. Might see a couple of drag strip runs and dyno runs but will never get a cage.
So will my twin stand up? Should I sell it and go to a triple or add on to the twin not sure how that works exactly. Who is running that 850 to 1000rwhp range with their tex twin or triple and how is it holding up? I guess other options might be spec twin or 3plus or spec 5,not a fan of mcleod. Exedy is way too much money.I thought my tex would do the job but now seeing some failures it seems at much lower power than I plan on making.

i will be going with either the LS7 or Textrilla
I am still debating between the 2. I had 415 RWHP and my stock LS6 clutch jsut laughs at me everytime i got WOT....
Where is the best place to get the Textrilla? And what is a good competitive price for the Textrilla?
I know where i am going to get the LS7 if i go that route.
Also how kuch can the LS7 cltuch hold at the rear???
