I think I was one of the last people to get my trans back from them BTW before everything blew up with their business and I wasnt too upset having to do the fit work myself....especially in hindsight.
Does Joe still do trans. work?

I really want to see a magnum out of a high horsepower car and see what is torn up in it.
IMO, the most important part is the cone being able to grip and speed match the gear. Once this happens, tooth size would seem secondary to me. I'm getting ready to change over to a T-6060 with a conversion tailshaft from a 2010 Camaro. I'd like to know which fluids have the best friction modifiers to help the blocker assembly do its job. Maybe something like B&M Tric Shift would work good?

I got no idea. Most people would likely avoid any dealings with them now. I think if I ever had another done, I'd request they be welded up and left for me to do the fitting.

seems like the biggest complaint was the teeth getting damaged. I myself am thinking of some kind of hybrid magnum ssr. I was told someone sells the pump setup for the magnums like the corvette and tr6060 trans. Was curious if someone else did the pump setup.

I have a pump but its a bastard trans. 2.97 low T56 6060 case and an RB racing oil pump pulls from the drain and out to the sprayer hole. Still putting this together and its the first pump I have used.

If anyone needs more power handling capability than what is offered by the stock gears, you can always contact Keisler. They are the exclusive importers of PPGears from Australia.

http://www.keislerauto.com/recent-ne...k-6-speed.html

The PPG gear set also offers the advantage of a closer ratio gear set. They may even have the wide-ratio gear set available as well.

Andrew thanks for turning me on to this thread. There is some great info on here. Time to start saving some money for a faceplated TKO 600. Thanks Eric

I would call them and ask, about being faceplated. And all that for what your going to be doing.

RPM is faceplating my t56 with liberty gears. When they took mine apart, it had some heat damage. It was a stock gear, and shaft type rebuild for sixspeedinc. with keys, fork, the normal stuff. I had ran mobile 1 ATF, and penzoil sycromesh. I didn't like how notchy the sycromesh was until the trans was hot, when it was cooler out here in NY. Jermery told me it could be from the ATF, and I shouldn't run it anymore. And that not to use RP was a BS. But he said the RP sycomax was good stuff.

Ok guys i just got off the phone with Liberty and they state to run either striaght 40 wt engine oil or redline light shockproof. They want a little more cusion then what dex 3 can offer. He also stated that it does't make any difference between synthetic or conventional for the 40wt. And that synthetic is just more prone to leak.

So far i have run 4 event with this trans and is amazing always goes in gear no ?'s asked. I accidentally even put it in first when trying to grab third. Thing is beast love it.

No worries on the 5/6 blocker rings with motor oil?

I did the same thing in my RX7 and I ended up bending some valves. Faceplated transmissions will really make you work at getting your shifts down perfectly, or else...LOL
