Default no one hastried to respond to my problem hopefully ill be help here

car is a 00 m6 ss 58.xxx miles. i was driving on base friday night going about 15mph in second go to put it in 3rd then the whole car jumped forward but i quickly through it in neutral. bucking an some kind of flexing was felt in the shifter.i go to put it in second now after that and some bucking and flexing happened again because i didn't raise the rpms enough before i shifted to second ( i think) seems like i have a lot of flexing and bucking happens when i shift(i think it's because i don't give it enough gas coming outta the hole when im doing a lot of stop and go). well , next thing you know i go to hit the gas and all this grinding an bad sounds happened and i felt it in the clutch. the clutch wasn't grabbing so i pretty much think i blew my pressure plate on my stock clutch. my buddy in the passenger seat said he's never seen a clutch go like that and i thought the same thing.wtf? has anybody seen or been through this?is this normal? he said maybe because of the cold weather but the car was already warm when it happened?
well now i know where my tax money is going

been doing some reading and it seems the ls7 clutch kit suites me best. the car is bone stock except for the new tick master adj and pro 5.0 shift that went in recently.

What should i replace now that i need a new clutch? a pilot bearing , 01-02 gm slave,ls7 clutch kit anything else while everything is dropped? i hope you guys can give me some helpful info. sorry for the write up

Ok so from what ive read through these 4 pages is that the stock 02 LS1 M6 should be good ( depending on your driving style) to around 400-420 HP to the flywheel? am i right? i have the stock M6 in mine with a Moser 9in w/ 3.89 gears and 340HP ( i know...but im working on it) to the wheels, which should be around 390-400 to the flywheel...so i should be good for now right? or should i start concidering tranny upgrades befor my cam and heads?......

I recently had a new 6speed installed in my car. everytime I get it a little gas it feels like the trans lifts up. when this happends I can watch my whole center console and shifter ****, along with everything else attatched to the tranny moves up. then as soon as I let off the gas it litteraly slams down or bounces and makes a uncomfortable thud.

any ideas?

Plus one for REAPER"S question about hp and trq ratings before doing upgraded forks and other T56 internals. Any kind of guesstimation would be appreciated.

So for a stock t56, what can it handle safely and not break? and what does a rebuild run for this transmission?

Ok I just put in a fresh T56 in my 99' SS new slave new master and a new centerforce dual friction clutch kit. It shifts nice if you are driving it normal but if I try a 6k rpm shift and clutch it to shift it wont go into the next gear and sometimes the clutch takes a few seconds to actually disengage. My pedal is really low and hits the floor. Wat is my problem?

Generally depending on how many miles are on the trans and how rough you drive it, a stock T56 will handle roughly 500HP and 500TQ to the trans its self, which with a %12 drivetrain loss addes up to around 450 @ the wheels, i dont know the exact price range but Viper has the parts to upgrade your T56 to the power level your lookin for from 500-1000+HP. hopefully someone eles can give us a price quote cuz im interested in some viper internals myself

I re-built my own when it was stock..I destroyed my 2nd Gear and a few other things so I bought the Tick Stage II Kit and put it all together. I have about $850 in the rebuild.

I didn't use a Viper Kit..check out Tick and you will see what I used.

A rebuild would probably help with your plans.
