HELP! getting new clutch mcleod twin or Ram 910???
Trying to decide which one is better for what I want, daily driven 3-4 times a week so I dont want to always struggle when in some traffic. I also want it to handle 600rwhp so which one is better? I have heard good about both but I have heard the mcleod doesnt have as good of a pressure plate as the RAM? Anyone with either one of these clutchs have any advice on which one to go with? I have been thinking this over for about 5 months and now my car is no longer drivible so I have to decide soon. Thanks

The Mcleod twin disks are holding up extremely well. All the 9 sec MTI C5s are using them w/ great luck. Jason 98 TA's (1.4x 60') is using one in his 422ci motor as well. Just make sure you drivetrain is SOLID! This clutch does not slip much at all off the line.

The twin disk is a SOLID clutch, and will grab something serious. But keep in mind that you will have to shim the clutch, and you better have a bulletproof drivetrain...

Wicked,
Your going to have to decide on what your future set up will be? The dual disc has been known as the drivetrain destroyer. It didn't get that nickname for shiznits and giggles.
The Ram with H/C&I with say a TNT wet shot of 150 should hold up fine. Beyond that I would go with the dual disc. But before you even go to the dual disc. You'll notice other things breaking. Rearend, possibly driveshaft gets twisted.

Thanks guys
I am only going with stage 2 heads and the 150 wet shot as my future mods and ofcourse the 12bolt. I should just go with the RAM cause knowing my luck I'll launch to hard of the line and rip apart my rear end
So with the ram clutch I wont have to worry about heavy launching and a 150 shot? Postal you already got a buyer on your 12 bolt?
