Default What clutch is good for my application

ok guys (and girls) when i get my check this thursday, im buying a new clutch because my stocker is slipping when i launch on drag radials.

right nowi just have bolt ons and drag radials, but i plan for a better rear end with a 4.10 gear and hopefully one day ill have a cam.

but what clutch do you think will be good to launch pretty hard on while still being a good dd clutch. i dont want to go spec, because i hear to many horror stories about them and im kind of stuck, i was thinking ls7 clutch but will it hold up to hard launches for a while?

i daily drive the car but am a very spirited driver

give me some opinions on what i should do, thanks for all the help.

I have a Spec 2, I know lots of folks have problems but I like it. It is perfect for the track but not harsh to drive at all.

well i wat something that is going to hold up to decent launches on srag radials, and i dont knowif the ls7 will hold using a sticky tire since its still a stock clutch.

i would like to get a spec because i hear good things about them, but i dont want to be in the group that hates them after i put it in and it ***** up, so im not sure what the hell i should do

what about the ram vds clutch, i havnt heard to many things about them

http://www.ws6project.com/user_stor/...ab00ee59636f6f

its either that or i get a spec 3+ rather than just the spec stage 3.

i might get either a billet or aluminum flywheel, i dont know yet

Check out the LS7 clutch kit. It will reliably hold 450 RWHP and has the performance characteristics of a OEM clutch.

Well I don't know what to tell you other than 5k miles mine is still going well. It holds up fine to 5,500 rpm launches on mickey thompsons.

I have a Centerforce, easy pedal pressure, and great grip. Clutch can handle alot.
