Slave cylinder loose?
It has been about four years since my last LS1 clutch install.....is it normal for the hydraulic input line (where it snaps into the slave cylinder) to have some play in it? I don't remember if my last car had that or not.
I am also having some issues with the SPEC 3, or at least strange noises about half the time when I start the car. It sounds like the clutch is rapidly engaging and disengaging (sometimes the car will lurch slightly with the clutch pedal pushed in). The sound is like a ticking, if that helps. It goes away after about 5 seconds and the lurching stops. The pedal feels fine and the clutch isn't slipping at all. A couple of times I couldn't get the tranny in gear for a few seconds. As far as I know, the hydraulics are stock (I bought the car with the SPEC 3 already in it). Could all of this be caused by the hydraulics or could there be a problem with my clutch?
Thanks

If you're not gonna be pushing too much power (excess of 400-450rwhp), I highly recommend an LS7 clutch kit. You can get the whole kit(clutch, flywheel, pressure plate, and bolts) for approximately $450. SDPC would be a good place to start; couple of people here, including myself, have had awesome experiences with the LS7 from SDPC.
