trouble going into reverse!

Default trouble going into reverse!

it started today....i tried putting it in reverse and had a hard time, i had to use two hands to get it in, and as i pull it out, it kinda "pops" out..like something is pushing it out...whats up????

MIne did that before. The car has a "reverse lockout solenoid". It keeps you from shifting into reverse by accident. Mine just had a blown fuse. I cant remember if its a fuse under the hood or under the dash but you should be able to find it pretty easy. maybe yours just popped a fuse to and the unit itself is ok. If you cant find the fuse do a search up in the Search Forums at the top of the page for - Reverse lockout solenoid- if I spelled it right.

It's the "ENG SEN" fuse under the hood.

Hopefully it was just a fluke - if it keeps blowing you'll have to check everything on that circuit.

Thats always better than replacing a transmission right?? I paniced when it happended to me at first! Glad it worked

I put in cags delete and i unplugged the reverse lockout solenoid on a goof and when done it now takes 2 hands to get in Reverse , did I blow a fuse just unplugging the bugger with the car off any help appreciated

checked my eng sensor its not blown, does cags help it go into reverse easier ?

The cags issue shouldnt have anything to do with the rev. lockout sol. Are you sure you got the adapters both plugged in the right places. Are they both snapped on tight. Maybe wanna double check. If youre laying under the car with your head towards the engine, you'll see a yellow or orange sticker that says use only Dexron 3 or something like that and the Skip Shift plug is way up above that and the fill plug for the transmission fluid.
