Default !!!ls7 Story!!!

I got my Ls7 clutch and fidanza aluminum flywheel installed with drill mod and it grabs better than my stock clutch ever did. I can chirp all gears no problem. I ordered my car brand new and two weeks after I brought it home my stock 2000 SS Camaro clutch would stick to the floor at high RPM shifts now with the drill mod that’s no problem, the drill mod works, My clutch setup has been installed now for 4 weeks so I decided to lean on it a little the other day. I have the hurst shifter installed on my SS and when I was finished ripping through the gears it was setting side ways. After searching for the correct setup for two years. I am very pleased with this setup.

Did your clutch act like it wasnt fully dissengaging during break in?

Yes the clutch would not fully disengage when I first installed it but it was due to needing more bleeding, my car was on a rack and I sat up in the car for about an hour pumping the clutch on and off refilling the reservoir while another person opened the valve on the ground. Little by little the pedal stiffened and the clutch started to disengage. I immediately took a 300 mile road trip down to G10 in Atlanta, 600 mile round trip but the clutch really settled in and started to feel great after about 4 weeks. I considered all the other clutches but did not want to deal with all the side effects I had read about. The LS7 Rocks.

The LS2 flywheel is the flywheel that is used on the ls2 corvette engine and the ls7 corvette engine. They both have an inset around the outer edge that work differently with the Ls7 clutch, an ls2 style flywheel is needed to mate the Ls7 clutch with the engine in f bodys. I did not use any shims in my setup.

i didn't use the spacer in my LS7 either. i never had a disengaging problem like some have had. but i love my LS7 clutch too! hands down most friendly clutch ever! i just need to get to the track here soon and see how it holds up to that!

I had no issues with bleeding, but then I did drill mod on new master, and installed new slave. Both master and slave came full and bled, just had to bleed master again over my sink after drill mod. With both bled, had to do NO bleeding in car.

Used no shims.

Pedal was dead center of travel from install.

Took about 500 miles before clutch felt well broke in.

The LS7 clutch must hold up to some pretty stout power too or not a good choice for 500whp with sticky tires?
