Help With Ls7 Clutch Install Quick
Ok I took my 99 T/A down to the mechanic to get the LS7 clutch and P/P and the flywheel installed and they said that the parts aren't interchangeable and on top of that they put it back togeather and the clutch won't let the car go into gear without grinding gears. I need to know the exact parts I need to fix this... sort of in a crunch to get my car up and running. What other parts do I need? Thanks.

Are you sure you only need those three parts.. I've heard others say you need a new master/slave cylinder and some new hydrolic pump... cause the put the clutch, plate and flywheel in and the gears won't catch without grinding. So should I just call them up and tell them ot keep bleeding it? Will they know what that means?

the slave cylinder and clutch master cylinder are the hydraulics. 98-00 cars should have these replaced with 01-02 parts when doing a clutch swap. it sounds like it still needs bled though.

So I should just tell them to bleed it then or should I tell them to get the slave cylinder and the pump and bleed it? Sorry, I know nothing about transmissions.

It needs the new slave cylinder. Tell the you need the 01-02 style hydraulics and that they need to put your LS7 clutch and LS2 flywheel in. And bleed the **** out of it probly about a quart worth. You have to put the clutch pedal THROUGH the floor for it to disengage.
