I can't put mine into first until it comes to a complete stop. I will be cruising up to a stop sign w/ it ready to go into first gear, as soon as my car completely stops it will slide forward into first.

Ive never tried putting it in first at anything over 20, i think anything more and your just asking for trouble. Plus its not like you will have traction when you punch, mine spins like crazy at 20.

I've taken off in 3rd gear a few times when not paying attention. Gotta love that Pro 5.0...

hell i ds into 1st near 45 sometimes. IT's a nice effect. Idk how useful it is vs just going into 2nd though because after a split second you have to shift into 2nd and waste time over just going to 2nd first.
But yeah im confused why everyone's got an ls1 and saying not to go into it at 30. Its not good for regular everyday driving but it does have its purpose if someones trying to pass you and you don't want em to or something like that or if you have a loud exhaust and just to scare the crap outta people.

Try rev matching like it's already been mentioned. I don't do it for regular street use, but I do downshift into 1st at 30 mph when getting ready for a race. Just be sure to rev match and be ready to shift into 2nd quickly when you go WOT because it will sneak up on you. I have also downshifted into 2nd at 60 mph (again, rev matching and getting ready to race) without problems.
