Default Bad master seals ?

Hey gang need some advice.

I just swapped to a spec stage 3 from my old Z06 setup a couple weeks ago on my C5. I already had a Mcloed Adjustable master and new slave in it.

I've noticed when sitting at lights or any other time that I hold down the clutch pedal that the clutch seems to slowly bleed. Normally my clutch engagment is way up at the top of the pedal travel. But if I hold it down long enough(20 seconds) when I let off it will grab right off the floor(or wherever I had the pedal). Now as soon as the pedal comes back to the top my engagement is back to normal. And during normal driving with quick shifts it stays up top.

My first thought was that maybe I didnt tighten the bleeder screw enough. But I know I torqued that bitch and upon inspecting my resivior its still filled to the top(no fluid loss).

So my best guess is that the seals in my master are weak and letting fluid by under the extra load of the stiffer spec 3 pressure plate.

what do you guys think ?

Sounds like it needs a rebuild. there are a few posts about it in here. You can search them out.
But also not good to ride the clutch for so long idling at a light either IMO.

Mcleod sucks badly. I had the same problem, then the thing started sticking on those 20 second holds. I just put my Ram VDS Twin Disc w/aluminum flywheel in today, and it grabs like a schoolgirl on a first date!

My clutch grabs right off the floor and it's been like that since I put the new textraila last year. I hate it. But mines like that all the time.

I think I need a new master cyl.

Is your fluid dirty?

Clean fluid, I purposely bleed all the old fluid out when I put in the new clutch...it took a while

Anyone know if the Rebuild kit is the same for the C5 and F-body ?

Probably gonna be the master in most cases where an updated slave is used.
