Default Did this happen to any other Spec's out there?

You can see that the spring that is roughly at 2 o'clock is broken in half...I think that was when it started going down hill and fast.

yep...been there...broke that......i think SPEC's reputation and quality has gone down the ******* in the past few years

my personal toughts about this company.....

Got a RAM twin Disc. My money isnt going back to spec for a heavier matierial to rip itself apart again.

BTW I like the bottom picture!

Same thing happend to me. I acutally had the metal that retains the spring break off and another random spring broke in half just like yours did.

Im not convinced spec has any issues out of the norm.

There are probably 10x as many spec's in use throughout the modded LS1 market than any other clutch. Nobody posts up about things are going good. So of course there will be a disporportionate amount of "spec is crap" threads.

your right..and wrong... I never see any threads about other clutches breaking, shattering...burning out with no miles ect. I only see this happening to spec. So I understand that because there are more..that mroe problems will so up...but in the same effect..you should see some other clutches having problems..but I never see it.

Everyone around me, and I mean everyone, uses Mcleod. I've met one guy using a Textrailia and I know two others using Ram but %95 of the EFA guys use Mcleod. Spec clutches are Pieces of ****! One guy in EFA had a SPEC blow up on him four or five years ago ad that was that.
