The Ram is Slipping once again, have questions.
Ok, i have the ram power grip clutch this is the second one i have had in the car this once is has lasted a total of 3 months and no more than 5k miles. It has never been launched out at all, it has been raced only highway. now i am experience it slipping. My old one had lasted me alot longer and went out at the track, and i sent it off and ram re-built it, and sent it back, and i reused the shim that was in there and i belive the shim is what is causing my problem i got my fly wheel resurfaced and just used a total of 1 shim to put behind the slave cylinder and i noticed the clutch felt the same as far as disengaging it engaged about and inch from the top of the pedal, which makes me think the clutch was not fully matted (engaged). In which in this case im not sure if i should of not put the shim in or added a total of 2 shims? which ever would of made the clutch engage closer to the floor would of solved the problem.
Now my question is if i get a adjustable Master Cylinder and make the clutch engage more (closer to the floor when relasing the pedal) will this make the clutch not slip any more?
or am i screwed with pulling the tranny and replacing everything. im thinking of going with the ls7/ls2 flywheel and clutch setup.
any advice/help would be greatly apprecited here guys..
thanks

Check out my thread on my install yesterday with the RAM Powergrip HD - there's a chance the shim may be causing pre-loading of the pressure plate fingers, which, if true, could cause premature slippage.

i do think that is the case, cus it will engage really high off the floor when goin back in and adding an additional shim, or just getting an adjustable master cylinder fix this problem or do i need to trash the ram and just get a ls7/ls2 flywheel setup
thanks
