Default What is the best stick for a Pro 5.0 Shifter?

I'm buying the Pro 5.0 within the next two weeks...
I want your opinons on what stick works best with the Pro 5.0.

LSS, WS6 Store Stick, Slanted, Straight, Quick Stick, etc...
I'm confused.

I want very easy short shifts, and I don't want the shifter to bang the console or boot ring.

Also, I plan I going with a C6 or SLP **** if that matters.

Thanks for your input!!

Honestly, no one will give you good info, not because no one knows what they are talking about but this is a feel thing, not a simple Y>X deal.

You'll have to try a few things to see what works best for you.

A few brands are known better or liked more then most, but well half of that is adversting doing its thing

Thanks Ryan.

What is the benefit of going with a angled stick?

Its based on what the customer finds comfortable. I find it the most comfortable and the reason we built it. I designed that stick for my comfort and what I liked the best assuming many others would agree and they have. We have never had a complaint on it!

I have the SLP shifter and WS6Store 6.5 stick. As long as you install it correctly, it won't hit the console. If you screw the stick on backwards, it will hit it in 2nd. Very hard, positive shifts, haven't missed a gear since.

I second the shortened one inch Pro handle... but I have seen the mustang style pro 5.0 handle on our cars...It looks nice! I would love to see a LSS...

I has a LSS with Pro 5.0, and I thought it was a great combination of shortness and leverage. No problems with anything rubbing or hitting either and it really shortened up the shifts.

I say...cut the stock stick, and bend it back towards you some. If you love it...no need to spend the cash on another stick. If you still want it shorter, then atleast you have something to base it from. Since all the aftermarket sticks have length measurments.

Its free and easy... worth the 30 minutes or so it takes to take it off, cut it, bend it, and put it back in. The reason I bent mine back...is that Im 6'4 and I have my seat all the way back as far as it'll go. That meant that when I was hitting 3rd, my arm was stretched all the way out. Solution...bring the shifter **** back towards me instead of throwing my arm far forward.

THIRD the shortened Pro handle. Are you sure it was the flat Stang style handle on an f body?? I spoke to the Pro 5.0 people face to face (they're based in the next town over), and they told me that the bolt pattern/spacing is waayyy off from ours.

I will again vote for shortening the Pro 5.0 stick...at least before you do anything else at higher expense. The shifter itself seems to have a shorter throw, and I think it's perfect after shortening the stick 3/4".
