Default are these the cheapest for clutch install parts?

This is all that's left on my checklist to get but money is starting to become an issue...
these are going in with a textralia clutch...

-01-02 Master cylinder ($144.43 through Fred Beans)
-ARP flywheel bolts ($24.88 through summit)
-ARP pressure plate bolts ($16.88 through summit)
-Pilot bearing ($11.13 through Fred Beans)

that's $197.32

that's not bad, but is there any other company(s) that has some of these parts cheaper?
thanks!

You're gonna wanna replce that slave cylinder too. Got mine from the local dealership. Gotta friend who's works there to hook me up. You gotta go flirt with the gals that work there and maybe get a hook up.

I'm searching under a 2002 Camaro Z28 or 2002 Corvette ZO6 and I'm finding the master cylinders for like under $100, some as low as like $40 through Advance.
I just want to know,
is it ok to go with a master cylinder from like Autozone, Advance kinda stores?
what's the difference between theirs and GM's? besides price of course.
AutoZone has one under "LUK" and one under "AMS" they are both $90 somethin

Those cheaper ones are probably rebuilds. I never trust those, personally.

does anyone know if this one at NAPA will work on my TA?

http://www.napaonline.com/masterpage...aster+Cylinder

looks like the hose lines are different...

so that genuine GM master cylinder is probably the best one?

I would reccomend you going ahead to the Mcleod adjustable master cylinder. Mine was fine with bolt-ons, but the moment I tried to run it through the gears after the heads/cam, it wasnt up to par. I installed the Mcleod and it has never been better. It's a now or later mod, now will save you time and money in the long run.

I wish I had the money to but I don't. Textralia also doesn't recommend the McLeod with their clutches, although I don't really see a problem with it except the price. But if their oz700 model is well rated way above my HP levels with the upgraded oem hydraulics then shouldn't I be able to trust that?

I have the OZ700 as well. The stock MC wasnt up to par in my case. Maybe a brand new one would be ok, mine did have 40k on it. Thing is it worked perfect til the power level went up. Good luck man!

cool. I appreciate the consideration. I think I'm going to end up buying a new stock master and see how that works. if it doesn't hold up, at least I won't have to pull the tranny to change it and stick one of those adjustables in there.

You can get a RAM adjustable master cllinder from speed inc. for $149 and free shipping, this master clinder is basically a stock master cylinder with a heim joint welded to the end of the rod so that it is adjustable. You can go to the dealer and get brand new flywheel bolts with loctite already on them for $7.77 for the set out the door and I'm sure new clutch bolts would probably cost about the same. So for about $170 you would have everything you need to install your clutch.

I believe they may have recalled the old hydraulics or either had bad things happen to a bunch of them and they have since been using the 01+ hydraulics in the auto parts stores and such. as for yours, how many miles is on the car and do you know when the hyraulics were updated? how much power you running on and how do you think the previous driver drove the car? the master is probably alright (while others have there different opinions) if the clutch is a little stiff but ALOT of people prefer putting a new slave in since they already have the trans out.

where can I find that master on Speed Inc's website??? and thanks for the info. I'll definately look into that & do some research into people using the RAM with the textralias. then I'll go from there. since it's only $5 more for it than the stock from GM. I bought both sets of ARP bolts from summit, cost about $51 w/ shipping. now I just need a master & a pilot.

Type in 1998-2002 f-bodys, when the new menu comes up click on transmissions and you should find it by scrolling down the page. They have free shipping on most orders over $100 and their service is excellent

HMMMM, I 'm pretty sure I bought mine from speed inc, but your right , it is not listed, so I checked out Thunder Racing .com and they DO have them for $149.95. Just follow the same instructions I gave earlier and you will find them, sorry for the bad info!
