Default Felt weird "pop", now clutch doesn't work.

Cartek Adj. Master, slave/t.o. is about a year old. Fresh T56 as well.

Went to shift into third, pushed clutch in and felt a weird "pop". Clutch pressure is different.. it's normal at the top of the pedal, but a lot stiffer @ the bottom.

Clutch doesn't disengage the flywheel from the trans.

Any ideas? Did I pop my T.O. or something?

Thats really odd. I had the braided line that goes to the slave pop off the master a few years back, but then the pedal went totally dead. Never heard of this happening.

I would call Dave and see what he thinks of the whole thing. 908.317.4496

I had similar problem a few moths ago. Shifting into 3rd heard a loud pop. Ended up being the center of the disc sheared loose. It held if I didn't apply the accel. but slipped when I applied power. Went with Centerforce dual with billett flywheel. If yours isn't engaging at all it may be in the Hydraulics. Good Luck.

hrm. hopefully it's not the clutch.. isn't in the budget right now.

Any way to test the hydraulics.. If I don't have to drop the trans that would be AWESOME.

my clutch did something almost similiar to that. thought maybe the clutch master had went out since i had already installed a new ram hd and new 01 slave. when i went to change the clutch master i found that the firewall had busted through at the clutch master mounting holes. welded it back up and braced it. put the new clutch master and things seem to be pretty smooth. i've got a better pedal now than i ever had.

any reason why the slave blew? I dont want to go through all the trouble of replacing it, only to have it pop again.
