part # for 1le mount? thought i had it but...
I went to a GM dealership, and they told me the part # 22201140, was a mount for a 93-97 fbody. Is this the 1LE mount, or is their another part number??

That's the standard repalcement mount...there is a different part # for the 1LE mount. I don't remember the part #, but you can find it with a quick Search. Good luck finding one!

You probably won't even be able to find any if you even do get a part number. I bought a poly mount and am satisfied. I do know that the 1le is much softer than a poly mount, but I had a lot of trouble trying to find a 1le tranny mount.

The 1LE mount is softer than a poly mount.
If your trans mount was ripped across from left to right chances are your motor mounts are bad, that's what happened to me. I bought 1LE mount without knowing the Motor mounts were bad and it still started to fail.
After the left motor mount was replaced I installed a Poly trans mount
And have had No problems since. More vibration but it's liveable
Any way The last 4 digits of the 1LE Trans Mount part # are 4970
This is the same mount that was originally installed on my Car. I got the number off my Build manifest. Picked it up Last year at a Chevy dealer but I had to have one dealer search other inventories to find it.
The 1LE mount is beefy and has a T Hook arrangement so it won't fully come apart if the rubber is torn across.
Hope this helps Good luck.

I saw that number, 22146231, on this forum under 1LE part numbers for the transmission mount. I also found the other number, 22174970, somewhere I think on this site. My dealer says that the 22146231 is not a good number. He says the other number 22174970 is the standard replacement part for all manuals. Maybe he's wrong.
I assume that LS1W66 must have a 1LE car (sure wish I had one). If he pulled this number, 22174970, off his actual mount, I guess it's the one. I will be ordering one from the dealer tomorrow.

The 4970 is the mount that came off my car But I do not have a 1LE Formula
I was told by friend who works at the GM Tech center that the 4970 was the only mount still available cause all the other LS1 mounts had been discontinued. He stated that the 4970 was the upgrade replacement for all the Manual trans mounts. So as far as I know the 4970 is the 1LE mount, it is beefier than the little mount that the dealer tried to sell me at first, but I think that was a LT1 unit.
Like I said above I ended up getting a polyurethane mount anyway because my left motor mount was so bad it stressed and started to tear the new trans mount. After installing a poly motor mount on the left side and the poly trans mount I have had No problems. And the poly mont is less than half the price of the 4970.

Hey, thanks for all the info. I am a little worried about noise with a poly mount. I thought the 1LE was a good compromise. I'll have to think about it some more to decide between the 4970 and poly.

I put a poly mount on my car years ago and hated it took it off after a week
But Now with the poly motor mount and the trans mount the vibration isn't that bad esp with the windows down. I would suggest you get the poly mount for the $25 and if you don't like it you could still sell it off to someone else and pick up the 4970 then.
Oh and when I installed the poly mount this time I didn't use the extra steel plate that comes with it, That may have something to do with it not vibrating as much.
Good Luck
