Default RAM Clutch users.....OR anyone with aftermarket Clutch

Hi Guys,
I am having the Bolt-ons finished up on my '99 T/A M6. Hoping for 340 RWHP or so. Anyway the clutch needs to be replaced and I am looking for the best streetable clutch that can be daily dirven/autocrossed, and taken to the track occationally on nothing more than nitto DR's. Was looking into the Ram VDS system with 900 series upgrade. THis should be the whole kitten kabotle.....Clutch, pressure plate, rapid motorsports adj master, new slave..... What do you think.

Hey Mikey....Darn man, I post here so I dont have to bother you, and you show op in my post <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> Thanks~!. I will schedule my install soon thinking maybe 4-5 weeks and I will be ready. I ended up getting a great deal on FLP's directly (they had a sale) so they are sitting in my garage, along with 02 simms and and extender. The suspension is getting done this thursday (SLP Bilsteins, Hypercoil springs, and G2 STB and LCA's). I ended up going with G2 SFC's because they gave me a good deal and that is what all of my other suspension stuff is (I made sure there will be no interference with the FLP Y).

I definately want you to install the FLP's and the clutch (probably RAM 910 like you suggested). I went ahead and bought a MAFT just for insurance (my car is already a little rich). I am now looking at ASP crank pulley, TB bypass, and shortening the EGR tube. What do you think about those??

Thanks!
-nick

Tune it with LS1 Edit and get rid of the EGR all together. Then an LS6 Intake.

Mike-
How long till you guys get LS-1 edit up and running?? I left all of my stuff unopened so I could sell the MAFT and o2 simms, Hrmmmmmm,..take care of it with LS-1 edit. Of the stuff listed I am thinking ASP pulley might be the best...U think? LS-6 Manifold is out of my bang for the buck budget right now <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> .

Go with the 910 VDS. We have had excellent results with these.

I love my RAM 980 disk setup; organic on the flywheel side and iron-sintered on the other. Hooks extremely well. I use it in autox all the time as well. This BTW is my 4th clutch, and it's by far the best.

Hey mikey

I'm running 420rwhp N/A and around 550rwhp N20. Mid 11's on motor and looking for 10's N20 (on slicks)

I'm considering the 910 Ram setup, but would like to know whether to go VDS or no VDS?

Also, when you gonna run a GP on these units?

Viper you decided to go with the RAM unit, huh?? Good choice. Scotty I would definitely go with the VDS because you get a billet flywheel and adjustable master with it !

ScottyG: Go with the 910 VDS. We tried running a GP on these a while back and did not get enough interest.

Mike-
You could put me down as a definite on a 910 VDS on GP....But to be honest it is a definate anyway <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> . Days go on and my stock clutch quivers more and more.
