BTW get a flathead and a hammer. Chisel at four corners until a piece breaks and then just naw at the piece a little more and it will fall apart. It takes 10 minutes this way and trust me I tried all methods besides grease for atleast 4 or 5 hours.

my buddy worked at murrays, so we borrowed the slide hammer, and we had to "modify" the jaw with a grinder to get it to fit on nicely, lol.
it was on his mustang, he said he felt like he beat his meat for an hour, but the bitch came out

Did you try the blind hole puller from Autotzone? I tried with a regular slide hammer for aout a hour, and the pilot wouldn't budge. Went and got the blind hole puller and it was out in 30 seconds.

Don't use another roller pin bearing in it's place... use a bronze bushing instead...
I just had my 5th clutch install and my tranny guy said for the amount of power/torque the LS1 puts out the pin bearings go to ****... I got a bronze replacement bushing instead and it's much better for the main shaft as well...

I had to use the hammer and chisel method on mine a few weeks back. Slide hammer did not want to work but it butchered the old bearing. Chisel finished it off and finally got it out.
