Default LS7 Clutch Question

Hey guys I have 35,000 on my SS and I think its time for a new clutch, its not slipping with regular use, but if i launch at 3k RPM's it will slip once or twice then launch.

Anyways, I want to get the LS7 Clutch, but I see on www.ls1speed.com they sell the LS7 clutch and LS2/7 flywheel. Do I need to buy the flywheel too or is it optional? And second of all, how many miles do you all usually get out of a clutch?

You gotta buy the flywheel, i got a used one from lingenfelter performance with 50 miles on it had it turned for 30bucks just to be safe but saved a ton in the long run, Ive got 10k on my ls7 now and it still holds like the day i bought it.

It may just be getting very hot. But it does sounds like its starting to go. The flywheel is optional. If you get a new clutch you need to at least make sure you get the old flywheel balanced and resurfaced. sorry about my spelling iv been drinking again hahaha

im guessing the alky is what lead to this totally wrong response. the LS7 clutch will NOT bolt up to the LS1 flywheel.

the ls7 clutch will not work with a ls1 flywheel. you need the ls2 flywheel to use the ls7 clutch and PP! you can get both of those for around 400 bucks at www.sdpc2000.com !
