Depending on what one you gt, they can differ but most if not all are like the Spec in regard to clutch pedal feel.

well i have a ram VDS and it holds like no other, hot lap after hot lap, all day test and tunes, no issue at all, but chatters your brains out.lol not friendly in stop and go traffic. peddel feel is def way stiffer than stock but i like the feel other than the fact it wants to shake you out of your seat if you try and slip it at all. more interested in wear. ive heard several say they wore out a spec in relative low mileage. just wondering what kinda wear ram is known for comparitively

I have an OZ700 Z grip. Hold's like crazy with a stock feel. Pulled it out sfter 30 or so passes and about 2,000 miles and did not like the way it looked. So.. I sent some pics of it to Tex and guess what? They are sending me another disk. Pretty good CS, if you ask me...

I've run a Spec 3+ for a little over one year... Switching it out for a Tex Exo-Skel I just bought because it started slipping under high boost (16/17 psi).

I had the Spec 3 and it did well after 2 years and 50+ passes on DRs and slicks with about 400rwhp. Even threw a few N2O passes on it. But after a couple of those it started to slip and the pedal was grabbing at the top. So I pulled it and have it at Spec getting upgraded to 3+ which can hold another 170ftlbs and has a much longer wear life. I will let you know how I feel about the 3+. Just by looking at the friction disc I can tell you this is a whole nother animal.

I had 3, the Spec 3, Ram Powergrip and the Tex. By far the Tex was the best. Like said before, "like comparing apples and oranges." Ram the ultimate worst. I have a lot of good things about the Spec3+ so I'm throwing one in now as we speak and see what happens. After this I'll know.

very intrested to hear your opinion going from a TEX to a spec 3+ please pm the link when you share.. Both are great clutches from what I hear but this will settle which one feels better and holds better. The 3+ is half the price.

PDD...the easiest way to avoid chatter is to get a full-faced clutch disc. A pucked disc will inherently have a greater tendency to chatter do to its design. If you want something smooter with more capacity go with the 3+. Let me know if you have any further questions.

I just put in the Spec 3+. Grabs great and pedal feel is just like the 3. 120+ miles so far and no chatter at all. Not even the first mile. My 3 chatterred for like 200 miles when new and off and on sometimes when hot. We shall see how she does at the track in a few weeks.

I don't see the pedal getting tighter with miles.
