Question Hurst Hot Shift ATF in T56????

Is anyone using Hot Shift ATF in the T56? If so how is it? Is there any negatives about using it? The only Mobil 1 I could find was some Multi Vehicle formula that says recomended for use in 2005 and earlier GM vehicles and says some **** about Dexron but the front says Mercon V. Help Please!!

Never heard of it . Is it the B&M or TCI stuff ? If so , its designed for racing auto transmissions although its would probably be fine in a T56 , I would not use it over something that is designed for manual transmissions that require ATF in them .

Yeah then its like the B&M stuff . I would just stick to either straight ATF or a syncromesh . I like the RP syncromax fluid myself .

Formulated to improve the performance of all automatic transmissions, Hurst Hot Shift ATF is one of the most advanced custom blended fluids available today. This fluid is so effective in reducing friction that your transmission will actually run cooler!

• Exclusive formula combines friction modifiers, extreme pressure additives and anti-foaming agents to increase clutch plate lock-up, resulting in quicker, firmer and more positive shifts.

• Ideal for use in passenger cars, high performance street and race cars, light trucks, off-road and recreational vehicles.

Hot Shift High Performance ATF meets requirements of DEXRON II, (1-Quart) Part No. 180 1000

NOTE: Maximum benefits and protection are obtained when transmission and converter are fully drained and refilled exclusively with Hot Shift High Performance ATF or Hot Shift Synthetic Blend ATF.

Dexron III, not Dexron II

I dunno about ATF that is Dexron III compatible, i would try and keep dexron III in it only, nothing funny...

read again, specs say

Hot Shift High Performance ATF meets requirements of DEXRON II, (1-Quart) Part No. 180 1000

I was saying that HOT SHIFT is the same as or meets the same specifications as DEXRON II. I was asking is the T56 compatible with DEXRON II,I know it uses DEXRON III. But will DEXRON II work it the T56, because hot shift seems to be nearly the same as DEXRON II.

Interestingly my 94 Z28 owners manual says use only Dexron IIe, but then on the T56 case it says use only Dexron III, so i use only Dexron III
