Flywheel/ new clutch question
Hi I am doing a clutch in my '00 Z28 and I think I might have a problem. See my old RAM HD wore a groove in my flywheel so when it was resurfaced, they had to take off 50 thousandths. I've heard that I wont need a flywheel shim. Should I just use the slave spacer? Will that work?

.050 is a large amount of material and will have a major effect on geometry. I would install a new unit...of course most will assume that this suggestion is made in hopes of selling you another flywheel...I would just hate to see you have to pull it all apart again only to buy a new one later!
