I went with the Hurst billet... seemed to be the middle ground for all of them and the quality is awesome...

Had the hurst competition and it was nice, 2-3 was iffy at times. Installed the pro 5.0 w/ ws6 store short stick about a week ago, this shifter is perfect! It is a little notchy but I have heard that will go away with time.

Pro 5.0 with the stick cut. Car came with it so I can't offer comparisons, but the 5.0 is a notchy shifter and hasn't gotten any smoother in the 3 years I have owned the car.

1+ for Pro 5.0, and for all of you who say theres more noise, I cant say that cause all I hear is my pissed off sounding Cam and dual exhaust.
Pro 5.0 is faster shifting, love the way it just slides from 2nd to 3rd effortlessly.
Dont forget to get a shorter stick tho, mines about 4" long, and ball reaches just above the console.

I recently installed a Pro 5.0 on my SS and I LOVE it! It took a couple days to get used to the new shift pattern, however it's a nice short throw and has a very positive response when you're running through the gears. The 2-3 shift is very smooth!

love my B&M, have had it for 3yrs+ no problems, the extra noise is barely noticeable. hated the stock shifter, believe it was the hurst option. the feel from the B&M is far superior and i have absolutely no problems shifting at high rpms. can feel the gate far more precisely than before. I'm not a terribly active poster(lol just realised after posting this was my first post, could have sworn I had posted before o.O), but felt the need to speak up with so many people ripping on the ripper.

Nobody out there is ever using the SLP it seems. SLP with a short stick here, was the cheapest price wise and its never gotten sloppy after 50k miles.

5.0 and Lou's short stick combo, it's been said 100 times on here. Don't need to cut anything down, with the short stick attached, my shifter looks like a fat kids dong. -fat kids'll know what I mean.
