Default Spec dual update

Just took out a SPEC dual from a buddy's 97 Vette with a Procharged 427ci.Got it in January 06 and has about 15-20k on it with atleast 50 track passes from slipping it to dumping at 6500rpm. Clutch still held as good as day 1 with smooth engagement ect.I was very surprised to see minimul wear on all the parts. This clutch was abused hard.Street starts at 2000-3000rpm was the norm. The car itself blew 2 rears and 2 torque tubes since this clutch was installed. We pulled it since the driveline needed work to send it back to rebuild for another season.

All in all this is the best clutch we've ever had. This car use to blow atleast 2 clutches a year and this one made it threw 2 seasons and probly could of made it another year.

Just throwing out my opinion of this clutch

BTW-another one of my cars runs this.It is a Turbo 408ci Camaro that already has 3 seasons on it and going strong. It will be pulled soon for a rebuild too.

I will be torture testing of the duals in the coming weeks. If mine holds half as good as that one, I'll be extremely happy. Thanks for the update on it.

Make sure you seat them for atleast 1k miles. This is absolutely mandatory!!! there are 4 friction surfaces that have to seat.If you don't the clutch won't work right.

Sounds like that's the way to go over the junk Spec 3's.

Thanks for the great reviews and the kind words. It is always nice to see happy customers sharing their experiences with others.

Red...I can appreciate your perspective and opinions...but keep in mind that a Stage 3 and a Super-Twin are totally different animals. We have tons of folks that swear by the 3 but it isn't for everybody. That is one of the primary reasons that we offer so many options...we want to make sure we provide every enthusiast with the best option for their application.
