Ls7 clutch, will it hold for me?
I have 4:10's and run a 315 drag radial, and a STS kit. Its only on 5psi for now, but I will be putting 6.0 heads, and a meth kit and will be uping the boost and to 10 or 12psi and it should be making 500hp or more. My question is will the Ls7 clutch hold up for my car's setup?

I have the ls7 and it holds like a mo!
It was designed to handle a minimum of 500hp! There are no issues with this clutch like the other aftermarket horror stories that you read about here.
Buy an LS7 clutch and never look back!

I know many stock c6z06 guys who fight them prety hard. They have a tendency to glaze. If you are gonn abe at high boost...and hopefully more than 500 hp with what you stated...I would go aftermarket

The LS7 may hold in your car it may not. I have one and I love it but I only have 360 at the tire. There have been some guys with stock Z06's that have had issues with the clutch holding under hard launches. You may want to look at a Tex or a twin disk. I haven't heard of any twin failing to hold power unless it was just a rediculous amount. I am not a fan of Spec clutches but there are guys that swear by them my opinion is they suck and so does thier customer service. Tex seems to be the best as far as customer service and the clutch holding up. There are several good twins out. Shop around for what is in your budget and then ask around for opinions on those clutches. Just my .02.

Spec 3+ is a full face clutch, it should fare better than a Spec 3 which is a puck design. I'm not sure on the Tex... but the full face clutches should be more friendly on the street.

you got some extra weight will all the turbo stuff so... if its +3600lbs ish i would not go with a LS7 the vettes can run that with big power bc they have a light as*car not a pig like camaros and firebirds. i had a spec 3+ in my camaro and it worked flawless for me.
